Former Formula 1 champion Nigel Mansell has his driving licence revoked for six months after being clocked by the British police at more than 145 Km/h. Mansell was stopped by the police while driving home in his new Bentley Continental Turbo. Mansell, who is also a special constable with the Devon and Cornwall police force, was handed the ban after the court heard he already had nine penalty points on his driving licence for previous speeding offences.

Today the new Minardi M-198 made it's debut on the circuit of Mugello. Despite the cold the test session went to the complete satisfaction of the team and the young Argentinian driver Esteban Tuero. Afterwards he said: "I was a little afaraid before I went underway with the car. One is always anxious that things don't work at a first test. Afterwards I was much quieter and the team is working hard in light of the coming season. This first test is a basis for further test sessions in the next few days."
