Max Verstappen finished third fastest with his Team Redline team mate Maximilian Benecke in a virtual race on the Nürburgring where the second round of the BMW SIM 120 Cup took place. BS Competition managed to pull off a one-two on the German track.

During qualifying for the race, no less than 45 teams – all with a BMW M8 GTE – appeared at the start but Team Redline Black car was able to claim the fifth spot. On the front row there were two BS Competition teams.

The race got underway with a rolling start, Benecke managed to keep his nose clean for the first few laps, he only lost two places. Right behind the frontrunners, the both BS Competition cars, mistakes were being made. Benecke benefitted from that and moved up to P5. After some five minutes, Max’ German team mate gained a position back. After about fourteen minutes, as he passed Simrc.de Titan’s car, Team Redline Black’s car #73 was running in third, about eight seconds off the pace from the leader.

After about an hour racing, almost all the teams went in for their pit stop and the drivers were also changed. This meant that Team Redline Black #73 car was now in control by Max, who, just like his team mate, managed to maintain BS Competition’s tempo but wasn’t able to close the gap to them.

In the final twenty minutes of the race things got a bit excited between the front runners. Car #89, driven by Alexander Voss, made a mistake that sent him sideways and causing him to lose some valuable seconds. The other BS Competition car, the number 7, took over the lead. However, the new front runner, Nils Koch, lost his cool and also made a mistake, this gave the #89 BS Competition car the opportunity to retake the lead after the first chicane and bring the victory home.
