Max Verstappen named Driver of the Day in Brazil

Published on 11 November 2018 by Raymond Snip

Max Verstappen was named 'Driver of the Day' for the sixth time this season after his second-place finish in Brazil. Fans cast their vote worldwide during the Brazilian Grand Prix, of which the Dutchman eventually was given the most.

Starting from P5, Max passed both Ferrari's and both Mercedes, after which he held the lead. Unfortunately, Esteban Ocon hit the Dutchman, while the Frenchman was lapped by the race leader. An error for which Ocon received a 10-second stop & go penalty. Max then managed to close the gap to Hamilton at one and a half seconds, but had to leave the victory to the British World Champion.

Verstappen was also elected Driver of the Day after the win in Mexico and Austria, the nice second place in Singapore and his strong overtaking races in Russia and America.
