Pirelli announces tyre choices Spanish Grand Prix

Published on 02 May 2018 by Mike Motilall

Pirelli, F1’s sole tyre supplier, has announced the tyre choices for the teams regarding the Spanish Grand Prix. For the race weekend in Barcelona, all the drivers have the medium, soft and super-soft compound Pirelli tyres at their disposal.

Looking at the choices made by the different teams, we see that out of the top teams Ferrari has gone for the most aggressive selection with seven sets of the super-softs. Mercedes is the most reserved from the three with just five sets of the softest compound. Aston Martin Red Bull Racing is with six sets of Pirelli's softest right in the middle.

Williams has opted for a selection that is more on the offense. They have selected for their drivers Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin respectively nine and ten sets of the super-soft compound tyres.
