Max passes theory test

Published on 10 January 2015 by Stefan Meens

On Friday, Max Verstappen passed his driving theory test. During the relatively calm winter period, the Dutchman decided to study hard and attempt the test. “It wasn't as tough as I thought. I studied for about seven hours and because I'm a quick learner it wasn’t all that hard.”

In the end, he managed to answer 47 out 50 questions correctly, easily topping the required minimum of 41, as was required. His passing of the test means the Red Bull Junior does not have a full driver's license yet. However, he is allowed to drive in Belgium under supervision. “In Belgium you need to be eighteen to participate in a practical driving test so I'm not there yet.”

Meanwhile, Max is still preparing for his début season in Formula 1. Together with his Red Bull assigned personal trainer, who moved in around the corner from Max' home, the youngster spends a lot of his time in the gym working on stamina and strength.

Max: “Since the start of January, me and my personal trainer have been working out hard. Every day we do two sessions of two hours in the gym. It's tough but it's really benefiting my neck muscles, arms, core and back. At this moment in time, it's all about developing strength. It's a challenge but I’m more than happy to do this.”
