Third practice; Team Netherlands 2nd

Published on 28 January 2006 by Thorsten Hendriks

Jos Verstappen set a second fastest lap time in today's free practice, just behind Ireland's Ralph Firman. Again a lot of red flag situations on Durban's streetcircuit. "It's code red all over" according to Huub Rothengatter. "The weather is fine and the conditions have improved dramatically since yesterday."

Jos is very happy with today's progress. "Yesterday went well but today went even better. My new engineer is doing a great job. He had a go at the suspension, springs and dampers; the car feels good. Firman is very fast, he managed to go that bit faster than me to take fastest time. The grip is getter better so I think we can go faster. We just need some luck this afternoon. I don't hope those code red situations are going to be a determining factor."
