Jan Lammers: 'We just have to keep out of trouble'

Published on 19 November 2005 by Thorsten Hendriks

A1GP Team Netherlands' teamboss Jan Lammers, who will start from third in the Celebrity Pro race, had hoped the qualification would have been different. He is still satisfied with the result which offers prospective for his team during the 2 races.

"We took a slight risk in this qualifying session. It is a choice you make and it can be advantageous or it can work against you. We had a bit of luck and ended up on sixth anyway. Well at least we will have 2 sets of new tyres for tomorrow, which will help us. There are enough people who know that Jos is an excellent rain driver. So I think we are okay for either situation. We will have to try hard during the races to beat the other drivers in an effort to move up the ladder in the championship. It is a matter of getting points and staying out of trouble. That is our objective: staying out of trouble. This race might be the one for us."

First session was dry

Jos's engineer for this race is Tim Wright, he is replacing Graham Taylor for now. Tim has worked with Astromega F3000 and last year he was Neel Jani's engineer in the GP2.

...but the track got wet pretty quick
