Sprintrace Australia

Published on 06 November 2005 by Thorsten Hendriks

Team France have won the sprint race in Eastern Creek. Jos had a good race and finished seventh.
After the start Mexico and Germany had a small incident and both ended up in the gravel pit.

The safety car was deployed and with 13 laps to go France drove away from the rest to create a gap which only would get bigger. Jos is fighting with Switzerland for position, but the Swiss car has a higher speed and Jos was not able to overtake him.

There are no changes in positions during the last laps. The difference in pace between the first six cars is similar and nothing happens for the rest of the race. Brazil and Portugal are fighting for position 2 and 3. In the end it was Portugal who maintained his position and finished second.

In the last lap there is an incident between Japan and Austria and they both end up retiring.
