Max gets air support at USA Grand Prix

Published on 22 October 2016 by Mike Motilall

The United States Grand Prix will get a slightly Dutch feeling to it when the 302 squadron of the Royal Dutch Air force will do a fly-by prior to the start of the Formula 1-race. The Dutch air men, stationed at Fort Hood Texas, will execute a ‘missing man formation’ with Apaches and Chinooks.

This in honour of all fallen soldiers and in particular for two of their colleagues, lost in Mali last year during their mission. Apart from that, the 302 stresses that they will offer their support to Max in this manner as he is also a fellow countryman. A nice and impressive gesture.
